Now, everyone is always concerned about time, namely, having too little time. Too many things take up too much time. Errands take time, laundry takes time, meals take time. Add a child or two into the mix and time is of even greater importance. As Benjamin Franklin said, "Lost time is never found again." However, I would have to disagree with Mr. Franklin because of one crucial reason; Benjamin Franklin did not have the Internet. Since I don't believe this quote to be true, the question must be asked; how do I propose we win back our lost time? As far as I'm concerned, it is in this realm of free colouring pages that save the day.
Both teachers and parents could find the abundance of reinforcement for things that they teach about in terms of the educational coloring pages. Children could also be instructed in terms of knowing the colors, shapes, alphabets, seasonal occasions and even spiritual education to be strengthened in the church or even at home. When I was a kid I just loved Superheroes and cartoons. It's no surprise then that my favourite thing to do was to watch Spiderman Cartoons! I would plan my whole day around them to make sure I didn't miss them, often running home from school just to see them, even if I knew they were repeats. Check around at your local cheap shop for a 100 to 150 page coloring activity book and then carefully tear out the pages or cut them out. You will then see that this will give you one page with two pictures on it front and back. Get your child to pick through the pictures until they find one that they want to color in and let them go to it. When they have finished that picture turn it over and get them to color in the other side of the picture. This will keep them entertained for ages if they are tempted to just color one color then encourage them to make it more colorful because you something special planned for their picture once they have finished but they need to make it colorful. Another idea is to take the cut out characters and add them into a new scene of your making. Get a bigger blank piece of paper and stick them in to make an action packed scene, or as my youngest calls it, "A Party!".
He will soon be old enough that in a year or so we will be able to break out the paints and see what he is like using them on the Coloring Pages. I know he will love this although I am already nervous at the idea of the chaos it could make! I am sure his eyes will go wide the first time I mix two colors together to make a brand new one, such as red and yellow combining to make orange. It is so rewarding to see his progress over time as he learns without knowing he is doing so. I can really see how his ability to concentrate has improved. Among all the fairy characters created by Disney, Tinkerbell it surely is the most appealing to kids. You might ask why, but just think about her sweetness, her fragility and, what is the most important, her ability to fly. We all wanted to have this capacity of flying, traveling all around the world, visiting all the new places or just using this skill to avoid some unpleasant situations. Well, Tinkerbell has all of these in her. Tinkerbell coloring pages have the power of taking your kids in the wonderful world of this little princess and giving them wings to fly, though imaginary. Winnie the Pooh coloring pages are the ideal solution for this rather awkward state of affairs in that they require nothing more than the booklet itself and some crayons, pencils or pens. It is likely that the car will be rather cramped and so space will be at an all time premium and so Winnie the Pooh coloring pages are ideal because they are so small and portable meaning that the kids can be occupied and let the parents focus on the road. Many parents criticise the Winnie the Pooh coloring pages on the basis that they are not very useful for the long term, i.e. once they are coloured in they pose no further use for the child. This is somewhat significantly offset by virtue of the fact that they are so cheap, meaning that if they do get used up sooner than later it really isn't the end of the world. Sometimes he really just loses himself in the work and goes quiet, determined to do good and his hand eye concentration has really come on in leaps and bounds. He seems to have quickly learned that by going slower his accuracy improves and things are easier overall, a great little lesson for life there! He is too young yet to start trying to sign his name on his work so I ask him to draw me his face as a signature and he always does so with a big smile on it, which tells me he had a good time working on it!
